About
Lauranne Leunis (BE, 1998) is a visual artist and photographer based in Brussels. Their work combines analogue photography, film, and installation, focusing on themes such as human connection, memory, and emotional presence. They are particularly drawn to the slow, hands-on nature of analogue processes, which allow for a deeper engagement with the image.
In 2025, Lauranne graduated from LUCA School of Arts, where they developed a multidisciplinary practice that blends still and moving images. Before that, they completed a BA in Documentary at RITCS, also in Brussels. While their documentary training gave them a strong base, they often found it creatively limiting. At LUCA, they discovered more freedom to experiment and began exploring the spaces where different mediums overlap. For them, photography, film, and installation each bring a different layer to the same story.
